About the Pastors 
Senior Pastor
Pastor George Bulgin came to the Boston area in 2006 to pastor the Mattapan and Roxbury Seventh-day Adventist churches. He came from the Mount Zion Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hamden, Connecticut.
Pastor Bulgin, a native of Jamaica, West Indies, started working in pastoral ministry in 1994, and was employed by the Northeastern Conference in 1995. He has pastored the Friendship church in Elmira New York, the Mount Zion church in Hamden, Connecticut, and organized the Shalom church in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Alabama A & M University. After 13 years at IBM he went to the Andrews Theological Seminary, where he obtained a Master of Divinity degree in 1993.
Pastor Bulgin has preached in Jamaica, Africa, and throughout the United States. He loves people and believes, that God has the power to change any situation, no matter how bad it seems. One of his favorite text is "It is God who works in you, both to will, and to do according his good pleasure”—Philippians 2:13.”
Pastor Bulgin is married to the former Ruth E. Taveras, M.D. They are the parents of adult children, George II, Cheston, and Nellie. They presently have one adopted daughter, a miracle that God has brought to them, Danielle, who is presently four years old.
